Fiber Melt Spinning System

AT227 Fiber Melt Spinning System is a main key equipment in synthetic fibre production. This machine uses high temperature ceramic to heat and melt the polymer sample, and extrude the sample to be liquid trickle from a spinneret under the effect of inert gas pressure, then nascent fibers form under the effect of air cooling. It is specially designed for small batch production test to simulate the field production.

Product Description

AT227 Fiber Melt Spinning System is a main key equipment in synthetic fibre production. This machine uses high temperature ceramic to heat and melt the polymer sample, and extrude the sample to be liquid trickle from a spinneret under the effect of inert gas pressure, then nascent fibers form under the effect of air cooling. It is specially designed for small batch production test to simulate the field production.


Technical Specification Features

The specifications of the device’s 2 extruders (A and B) as follows:

Extruder A Technical Specifications;

Screw diameter is at least 25mm.

L/D ratio is at least 30:1

Screw is made of hardened carbon steel.

Feed point is air-cooled.

Screw speed is adjustable between 0-70 rpm or wider range

There is at least four heating zones in heating parts.

The heaters is ceramic type

Temperature is adjustable up to minimum 450 ℃

Motor power is at least 2 kW AC.

Motor control is of AC inverter type with adjustable frequency control.

Extruder B Technical Specifications;

Screw diameter is at least 20mm.

L/D ratio is at least 30:1

Screw is made of hardened carbon steel.

Feed point is air or water cooled

Screw speed is adjustable between 0-70 rpm or wider.

There is at least four heating zones in heating parts.

The heaters is ceramic type

Temperature is adjustable up to minimum 450 ℃

Motor power is at least 1.5 kW AC.

Motor control is of AC inverter type with adjustable frequency control.

There is at least two polymer distribution blocks. The temperature of distribution blocks is adjustable independently for the polymer control.


Spin heads is two pieces and has the following characteristics:

It is able to produce mono and bi component

Spin heads is equipped with external insulation, ceramic heater and stainless steel protective cover

The heads is made up of high chromium alloy steel.

Spin heads heating is adjustable up to 450 °C.

Spin pack aperture diameter is minimum 70 mm.


Melt Pumps specifications is at least as follows.

At least two melt pumps is supplied with the device

Core and sheath capacity is minimum 1.0 cc/rev for each

Melt pump feed range is between 0.5 - 4.0 cc/ rev. or wider range

Power of melt pumps is minimum 0.35 kW and controlled by minimum 1024 PPR encoder

Melt Pump Motor Controls is provided with Variable Frequency AC Inverters.


The heating ring have the following characteristics.

Heating is at least 1 kW.

Length is minimum125 mm for each sector.


The Filament cooling cabinet have the following characteristics.

The speed and the temperature of the air in the cabinet is controllable

The width of the air flow is at least 400 mm.

Blow air height is at least 1000 mm.

The depth of the air flow is at least 200 mm.

The air velocity is adjustable between 0.25 - 0.75 m/sec or wider range.

The air supply is centrifugal blower type.


Spin Finish Application system have at least the following features.

Ceramic guides is adjustable in and out.

Applicator is in two positions and is ceramic nozzles (Total two nozzles).

The output capacity is at least 2 x 0.025cc/rev.

The speed is adjustable up to 30 rpm or higher.

Tank Capacity is 5 liters.


Pull Station features is as follows.

Induction heated supply coil, draw rollers and rest coil is provided.

Temperature is controlled by a microprocessor unit.

The coil diameter is at least 125 mm.

The length of the bobbin is at least 150 mm.

The coil temperature is adjustable up tominimum of 225 °C.

The speed of the coils is adjustable from 500 m/min to 2500 m/min or wider range

All coils is ceramic coated.


Air barrier device is at least as follows;

Each thread in the system is pass through the air scanning nozzle.

The system is positioned on the line before the winder after the last gauge.


Fiber Spin extruder line control system should have the following specifications.

All parameters is controlled by the system computer and all parameters (Temperature, Pressure, Speed, Data storage and Recipes)is displayed on the screen.


Hand Aspirator gun have the following specifications;

Yarn Speed is set up to 2500 m/min. or higher

The denier range is total 1000 denier or higher

Air Pressure is minimum 6 bar

Air Consumption at 6 bar is maximum 250 Nm3/hour.


Overall Device specifications is at least as follows;

The device must be suitable for working with thermoplastic polymers.

The temperature in the extrusion system is adjustable up to at least 450°C.

The device is able to produce FDY yarn type.

There is one thread line.

Is able to produce Sheath core type for component yarn system.

Is able to produce Mono component in the yarn

The denier of the yarn produced is between 1 to10 for each filament.

The line speed of the system is set up to at least 2500m/min.

The melting capacity of each extruder (Extruder A and B) is at least 1kg/h


The system winder unit is as follows:

The system have an aluminum lattice structure.

The coil holder is single cubic and is at least 90x100x300 mm.

The holder cartridge diameter for the bobbin is at least 300 mm.

Machine have a Pneumatic contact pressure system

The traverse stroke in the system is 250 mm.

At the end of the system there is a device for yarn transfer.

The system speed range is set between 1000 - 2500 m/min. or wider

The system denier range is between 50 - 500 dtex or wider.


A closed-circuit refrigeration unit with at least 4.0 kW

Together with the system, a tool kit and a calibration set including Infrared Temperature sensor, Tachometer, Air flowmeter, Stroboscope and other essential tools is provided.
